Nechie Feigenbaum, LCSW
Nechie Feigenbaum is a psychotherapist specializing in trauma, relationships, and intensive therapeutic work. She has been in practice since 2012, working with children, adolescents, and adults in both school and private practice settings. She earned her Master of Social Work from Adelphi University and has pursued extensive advanced training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-oriented approach to understanding and healing trauma.
Her work with couples draws on training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method through The Gottman Institute, and Developmental Couples Therapy through The Couples Institute in California. These approaches inform her understanding of the emotional and relational patterns that shape how people connect, communicate, and respond to one another.
Over the years, Nechie developed a growing appreciation for the depth of work that becomes possible when therapy is given more time and space. Recognizing the potential of extended sessions to facilitate deeper exploration and meaningful progress, she pursued specialized training in therapy intensives.
Passionate about the connection between mind and body, Nechie integrates Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, and Psychodrama into her work. Her approach goes beyond insight alone, helping clients explore deeply rooted patterns, process unresolved experiences, and develop new ways of relating to themselves and others.
Nechie welcomes clients to her private office in Lakewood, New Jersey, where she offers a thoughtful, individualized space for meaningful therapeutic work.
